The beautiful Spa town of Bad Ems, on the banks of the river Lahn in Germany is the home of the International Offenbach Festival. In 1858 Jacques Offenbach was appointed as Manager, Director of Music, Theatre Director and Composer at the Kur Theatre in Bad Ems, a post he held until 1870.

Bad Ems is centrally located about 1 hour's journey from Frankfurt International, Frankfurt - Hahn and Cologne Airports.  The city of Koblenz is approximately 10 miles away.
